A Visit from Family!

We had a very nice visit with my mom and sister and brother-in-law and nephew who were here last week. I am a little slow to get things posted. On Thursday Bob took the day off and we all went to Xango. It is a huge really cool dinosaur museum. Here is Conner running away from the T-Rex that is breaking out of the building.

I found some fossilized dino poop in a drawer so I called Conner over to look at it.

Heather and Conner hid from dinosaurs in a cave. I actually crawled in too... but I didn't post that picture =)

Here I am being frightened my a raptor that is right over my head. I think that Mardi got a better shot with Mom's camera. I will post the scrapbook page later.

Here are two T-Rex's that look like they are having an epic battle. This was very cool to look at!

We played in the wet sandy hands on build your own dino area thing-a ma-bob.

Isn't this cool! A giant sea turtle skeleton! I guess I never thought about dinosaurs in the sea!

Conner is excavating dino bones in the last hands-on exhibit.

In the gift shop Heather plopped a giant hairy spider on my head, then mom adn Conner attacked me with dino hand puppets!

Here is "Flippy" the clown fish. I made him for Conner out of some left over yarn. I think that he turned out pretty cute!

On Saturday Mom, Bob, Heather and I all went to Temple Square. We took a tour of the huge conference center.

We went out on the roof where there is a huge garden area. There are tons of beautiful wildflowers planted there and some trees too!

Here is a view of the Salt Lake Temple from the roof of the conference center. After we finished our tour we went and toured the new family history library. We kind of did a speed tour of that though. Then we headed over to the North Visitors Center to see the Christus. It started sprinkling on us as we headed to the tabernacle. We sat in the tabernacle listening to music and when we left it was raining hard with much thunder and lightening. We kind of hung out under the edge of the roof trying to wait it out and watch the storm. We finally just had to make a run for the car. (I read in the paper today that the Ochur Mountain Temple was struck by lightening in the storm. The angel Moroni at the top took the hit and will have to be re-gilded. There was no other damage to the temple.)

Yesterday I had my first pre-school day with my nephew Hunter. We are going to be working on the alphabet to get him ready for kindergarten in the fall. I think that we had a good time. He will be back next monday for more fun with letters!

I am so excited to report that the new shoes I bought and fancy inserts seem to be working and I was able to walk almost a mile yesterday without a ton of foot pain today! Hurray!

Okay, now I feel like I am caught up. I hate it when I feel like I am behind!

I'm glad you had fun with your fam! Thunder and lightning is so scary! I can't believe it hit the new temple. Yikes!

Does next Friday night work for yall? For dinner, that is.
